This is 1 of 2 required classes to earn the Behavior Technician certificate. It is highly recommended to take VMED 080 prior to registering in VMED 081. Content acquired in VMED 080 is essential for VMED 081. The behavior technician program prepares individuals for a certification exam and front line work in the field of applied behavior analysis. Courses will cover Autism Spectrum Disorder, basic principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), teaching methodologies based on ABA, prompting, generalization and maintenance, and data collection for skill acquisition. This is the first course in a two-course series.
