The Lactation Consultant Education class prepares individuals to become specialized in the clinical management of breastfeeding. This class is the third in a three-course series that meets the required lactation education training to become an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC). This curriculum meets the standards of the Lactation Education Accreditation and Approval Committee (LEAARC) and will focus on developing best practices to provide quality lactation care and support for families. Open Entry/Open Exit. Requisites: VMED100 - Lactation Educator Specialist I AND VMED101 - Lactation Educator Specialist II - Recommended prior to taking this course, but is not required.

VIRTUAL HYBRID: REMOTE LIVE AND ONLINEPart of this class is on Zoom. Part of this class takes place online. This class has a set class time where students will meet with their instructor and classmate. In addition, students are assigned learning activities to complete online using Canvas, an online learning platform. |
